Unical Unical Pre Science Admission Form 2018/2019 session is out and Admission requirements into Programmes in the Faculty of Sciences are as follows below:-

The Pre-Degree programme is designed to meet the needs of the teeming secondary school graduates in Nigeria. The requirements for admission include: Candidates must possess credit passes in at least five(5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Agricultural Science is accepted in place of Biology for Education and Agricultural Science candidates only), at not more than two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO or GCE) or equivalent qualifications.

Also, Candidates must have taken the immediate past or present academic year's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), e.g. 2015 Admission requirements into Programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture Candidates should possess at least five (5) Ordinary Level credit passes in NECO, WASC/GCE to include Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science), Mathematics, English Language and one of Economics, Geography or Physics. A credit pass in Physics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Food Science and Technology, Home Economics or Fisheries and Aquaculture.

Furthermore, For other Programmes, at least a pass in Physics is acceptable. Admission requirements into Programmes in the Pre-Degree French Studies Five (5) Credit-Level Passes in NECO, WASC/GCE 0' Level at not more than two (2) sittings, Including English Language and ONE Arts or Social Science subject. A pre-knowledge in French is NOT a requirement.

Unical Pre Science Admission Form 2018 Programme Schedule

The Pre-Degree programme is an intensive two (2)-semester coaching curriculum aimed at ensuring adequate exposure to the fundamentals of concepts and preparation of eligible students for university admission.

The courses of study require the Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects which include English Language, that is compulsory For all students, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science) and Mathematics. Students are required to choose three subjects in addition to English Language. Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science) and Mathematics.

An overall score of 40% and above in the examinations and continuous assessment (comprising regular tests, assignments and practical assessments) is required for a student to be qualified for consideration for admission into Year One of the relevant degree courses of the University. Admission is based strictly on merit and entry requirements and in proportion to the admission quota of the University for the various courses/Programmes in the Departments/Faculties.
